In addition to our patented flexible feed wheels, we manufacture steel feed wheels without the flexible structure. The steel feed wheels are a cost-effective and lightweight option. The wheels are also available with surface hardening. Furtherore MenSe manufactures and delivers special feed wheels according to customer needs and feed wheels for sawing machines.
MenSe feed wheels are available with different measures and several grip surfaces:
The gripping surface machined onto the diagonal shank in the direction of the axle forms a circular outer sphere, which feeds timber evenly. Cutting length is achieved faster, the operation becomes more effective, improving profitability. The spikes on the diagonal shank provide sturdy support for the timber. The rollers provide excellent grip in both feeding directions, backwards and forwards. The grip also minimizes surface damage. Gripping pressure may be lowered, which also provides savings in fuel costs. V-Tec has an open, light, non-clogging structure. The rollers are made of hard, tough abrasion resistant steel.
Asymmetric spikes made of wear-resistant steel give a maximal grip while feeding the trunk. The ”fingers” are hardened and machined leading to better durability and usability and allowing the tips to overlap better when the wheels are in contact with each other. The “fingers” broaden the wheel’s gripping surface thus increasing the support of large trunks.
The trunks are easier to handle while the spikes are longer in the outer rim enabling a better reach.
The lifetime of our feed wheels is several years, the warranty period covers 2000 working hours or 1 year. The flexible structure dampens the sharpest shocks to the harvester head and thus allows you to save in repair costs.
