MER slew drives that contain a hydraulic motor have dozens of application possibilities. The MER7 is suitable for rotations of attachments on small machines when clearly more torque is required but the overall size is kept small. Examples include the bucket rotator of a small excavator, light wood- or material-handling grabs, and rotation of auxiliary tools on property maintenance machines.

Additional information on MSE and MER slew drives what grease you should use and it's rotation speed.
| Additional information | |
|---|---|
| Recommended grease | SHELL GADUS S2 V220 2 |
| Greasing interval | After 300 operating hours or 6 months |
| Screw and ring gear material | Steel |
| Sealing | Outer axle sealing, inner ring rubber lip |
| Operating temperature | -30 °C — +60 °C |
| Rotating speed, heavy load | ~ 2,5 rpm (max.) |
| Rotating speed, light load | ~ 10 rpm (max.) |
The slew drive enables unlimited and stepless rotation without slipping while supporting a heavy load. A well-controlled and stable rotation makes work safer and more efficient. Tasks become easier and faster when you can reach around corners and obstacles and require less repositioning of the machine.

Axial load is parallel to the axis of slewing ring.
Radial load means vertical load to the axis of slewing ring.
Tilting moment is the load multiplied by the distance between the position of load and the center of slewing ring. If the torque generated by load and distance is greater than the rated tilting moment torque, slewing drive will be overturned.
