Operating Principle of the Torque Limiter

When the torque on the limiter exceeds the preset limit, it trips and thus prevents equipment damage. Once the overload is removed, the protection automatically re-engages. The machined seats for the spring-loaded balls ensure precise and reliable locking without play or unwanted slippage.

Retrofitting the Torque Limiter is Easy

Installing the torque limiter in the slew drive is easy. First, remove the slew drive from the tool to which it is attached. Then, attach the torque limiter between the tool and the slew drive.
